2015
Cabernet Sauvignon
estate grown
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
This is Lariana’s first bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon and what a well -chosen vintage for its debut. 2015 was a very warm vintage in the Okanagan when the “king of grapes” can achieve its full potential especially in the vineyard at Lariana. Steeped in the rich aromas of boysenberry pie with its accompanying spicing, the flavours are further intensified by a touch of violet and all wrapped up in chocolate -covered cherries. Suave yet firm tannins support the mid palate and carry to the exceedingly endless finish.

Additional Tasting Notes
Everything about Lariana is boutique – their five acres on the US border in West Osoyoos, their 1,100 case production, and the fact they have made only 90 cases of this delicious cabernet. And it is 100% cabernet, a feat rarely endeavoured in Canada. It is a lovely, rich, elegant and supple wine with very pretty, lifted cassis, florals and finely stitched oak on the nose and palate. Classy, with excellent length. Tasted July 2018. 93 Points
